When seeking to build a new property, there are many different factors to consider. From choosing a property to hiring a firm, it is important to think through your needs and desires with this new house that you are building. Whether it’s a design for your first home or a vacation house, EHD will assist you in this project every step of the way and guarantee that your needs are met. Here is a list of things to consider before building your custom home.

Modern architecture is the distinct style of some of the most iconic and innovative designs ever created. Designers like Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Sullivan, Rem Koolhaas, Frank Gehry, Le Corbusier, Zaha Hadid, Jeanne Gang, and many more, have made modernism one of the most well-regarded styles of architecture. However, modern architecture has continued to evolve and change over time, often redefining itself and its values. Here is a review of where modern architecture started and where it’s going.

Palm Springs has been a recent inspiration for our firm. Known for the highest concentration of mid-century modern homes in the United States, this city has been forging a path for strong design aesthetics since the beginning of the 1900s. Here are some of the key reasons why we are specifically drawn to Palm Springs today and how we at EHD can continue to push the field of luxury architecture forward.

The Parade of Homes has been a long-standing tradition where homeowners and developers alike can showcase the best homes across the country. The three locations that participate here in Utah are Salt Lake City, Utah Valley, and St. George. Each location has a unique perspective as they showcase the luxury home architecture in their area.

Building a second home has become more and more popular among homeowners across the world. We have seen this increase in popularity with our own clients who wish to build vacation homes in places like Park City, Canada, California, St. George, New York, and more.

Focusing on commercial architecture in Utah specifically, there are certain factors that must be considered when designing any type of business. At EHD we have worked on projects that range from luxury hotels, medical spas, farm-to-table cafes, home automation showrooms, offices, and more.

EHD will officially be launching a remote office in New York City. To celebrate our new location in New York, we’re hosting an event in Brooklyn with ABC Stone.
