EHD Launches Office in New York City

On June 28th, EHD will officially be launching a remote office in New York City. To celebrate our new location in New York, we’re hosting an event in Brooklyn with ABC Stone. At this event, we will be celebrating EHD’s New York location with an art and design exhibition, a glimpse into EHD’s partnership with Basalte, and a showcase of Rebecca Minkoff’s first Anthozoa collaboration with Borrowed Earth and ABC Stone.

Part of our responsibility as an architect and design firm is to source the best and work with the best, which is why we have partnered with ABC Stone for this event. Together we share an elevated standard for materials and appreciate the benefits of bringing organic natural stone into any space. At EHD we pride ourselves on intentional, bold, and simple designs. Integrating natural stone is a beautiful way to achieve these design aesthetics and bring another dimension of life and organic nature to our spaces.

This event will be the perfect opportunity to learn more about Elizabeth Hales Design and immerse yourself in thought-provoking installations from Basalte, ABC Stone, Rebecca Minkoff, and more.

Why New York City

With a hybrid of rich architectural history and vibrant new developments, EHD never ceases to find inspiration from New York City. We are amazed by the diversity of architectural styles that include Classical Architecture, Beaux-Arts, Art Deco, Modernism, and more. This unique mix of architectural styles presents an intriguing atmosphere for EHD to design within. In addition to this architectural diversity, New York City’s beautiful skyline never ceases to inspire and draw people to look upward toward the towering buildings above.

Landmarks we are inspired by

Not only is EHD inspired by New York City’s skyline, but we are also intrigued by the busy street life. Vibrant boutiques, pop-up shops, rooftop decks, museums, and restaurants are just a few examples of how architecture shapes the streets of New York City. For example, we are inspired by designs like the Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that stand apart from the cityscape and interact with people on the sidewalk.

Other notable sources of inspiration for us include the High Line which seamlessly intertwines landscape design with architecture, the Museum of Modern Art which is a testament to blending modern design with a renovated historic building, and of course the iconic Oculus at the World Trade Center.

Why You should choose ehd

At EHD we believe good design entices and welcomes people to enter a space and explore what it has to offer. We believe that enhancing the human-scale approach to a building among towering skylines can create an experience that is unique to New York City.

For these reasons, EHD has decided to open an office in New York and bring our architectural and interior design expertise to this culturally and historically diverse city. Our firm believes in timeless, minimal, and intentional designs that let the beautiful architecture speak for itself. This design ideology will bring yet another diverse style to New York City that will push the envelope for creativity and architecture in general.
